Email support with your iPhone model, iOS version, MultiCapture version/build, what you expected, and what happened. Do not send private footage unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it.

Compatibility

MultiCapture requires iOS 18 or later and an iPhone that reports support for Apple’s simultaneous multi-camera capture. Available resolution, frame rate, HDR, and rear-camera controls vary by model and current system load.

The iOS Simulator is useful for interface checks but does not validate dual-camera recording, audio synchronization, heat, storage pressure, or real lens behavior.

Find your local files

1. Open the Files app.
2. Choose Browse → On My iPhone.
3. Open MultiCapture → Captures.

Names begin with rear_, front_, switched_, or markers_. An export problem can also create a bake_log_ text file. Marker and log files can contain local file names and diagnostic error text, but not uploaded telemetry.

If a requested video was successfully added to Photos, MultiCapture can remove its local working copy. Turn on Save source videos before recording when you want rear and front sources retained after a successful session.

Fix permissions

• Camera or Microphone: open Settings → Apps → MultiCapture and enable the missing permission. Both are required to start capture.
• Photos: capture still works without it. Allow Add Photos if you want automatic library saves; otherwise retrieve videos from Files.

After changing a permission, return to MultiCapture and follow the on-screen Check Again or retry guidance.

Low storage

MultiCapture requires a free-space safety buffer before starting and checks storage while recording. Free at least the amount shown in the app, then choose Check Again. If the app stops because storage became critical, wait for finalization and inspect Files before deleting anything.

Long sessions, higher resolutions, higher frame rates, and keeping sources all require more space. The initial safety buffer is not a promise of a particular recording duration.

The app became inactive

iOS can interrupt camera access when the app leaves the foreground, another camera client starts, a call arrives, or the system is under pressure. MultiCapture stops active recording and prioritizes finalizing available raw files. A switched edit may be deferred until the app is active again.

Reopen the app, leave it active while the edit progresses, and check both Photos and the Captures folder afterward.

Make a useful beta report

• iPhone model and iOS version.
• MultiCapture version and build shown at the bottom of Settings.
• Selected quality, frame rate, HDR setting, and Save source videos setting.
• Approximate recording length and free storage before capture.
• Whether the app was backgrounded, interrupted, or became hot.
• Which files appeared in Photos and Files.
• Any exact on-screen message or relevant bake_log_ file.

Known beta boundaries

• Portrait orientation only.
• No background recording.
• No cloud backup or in-app capture library.
• The switched edit is generated after capture and can take time.
• Camera and format combinations depend on the phone and current system pressure.
• Source retention depends on Save source videos and Photos import outcomes.
