Data we collect
MultiCapture does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer. It has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or remote media service.
Permissions the app requests
- Camera: required to preview and record compatible front and rear cameras.
- Microphone: required to record synchronized audio with the camera streams.
- Add to Photos: optional. When allowed, MultiCapture asks iOS to add completed videos to your Photos library. The app requests add-only access and does not browse your library.
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling Camera or Microphone prevents recording. Disabling Photos does not prevent capture; requested files remain in the app’s Files folder instead.
Recordings and local storage
MultiCapture writes working and retained capture files to its app container, visible under Files → On My iPhone → MultiCapture → Captures. Depending on the session, these can include rear video, front video, a switched edit, local edit markers, and diagnostic information about an export failure.
After iOS confirms a complete Photos import, the app removes local working files that are no longer needed. When Save source videos is enabled, rear and front source videos are retained. If a Photos import fails or a switched edit is deferred, the files needed for recovery remain local.
Deleting the app can delete files stored only in its app container. Move anything important to another location before deleting the app.
On-device processing
Video encoding, viewpoint-marker storage, switched-video composition, and Photos export requests happen on your device using Apple frameworks. MultiCapture does not provide cloud backup. Your own iCloud Photos or iCloud Drive settings are controlled by you and Apple, not by MultiCapture.
Sharing and sale of data
MultiCapture does not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. If you export or share a recording through Photos, Files, or another app, that action is governed by the services you choose.
Children’s privacy
MultiCapture is a general-purpose camera utility and is not directed to children. Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Policy changes
If a future release adds data collection or a network service, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that behavior is released. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
