MultiCapture keeps both source feeds recording while your main view changes. Your taps become timing markers, not destructive camera swaps.

After capture, the app builds a separate video from those decisions. If the edit must pause, its recovery job can continue when the app is active again.

Local files appear under Files → On My iPhone → MultiCapture → Captures. Marker JSON is an internal working artifact and is not retained after a completely successful Photos export.

Designed for the imperfect parts of mobile capture.
No camera app can promise against every hardware or operating-system failure. MultiCapture is built to preserve useful partial results and explain what happened.
Storage
Space checks before and during capture
Recording starts only with a safety buffer. If storage becomes critical, the app stops and finalizes rather than deliberately writing into exhaustion.
Interruptions
Sources finalize before the optional edit
Backgrounding or camera interruptions stop active capture. Raw writers finish first; the switched edit can wait until the app is active.
Partial results
A useful clip beats an all-or-nothing error
If one stream cannot finish, MultiCapture keeps and reports the usable files rather than discarding the whole session.
Privacy
Your media stays under your control
There is no account, ad SDK, analytics SDK, or cloud media service. Capture and editing happen on device.
Compatibility
Hardware decides what is possible.
MultiCapture requires iOS 18 or later and an iPhone that supports Apple’s simultaneous multi-camera capture. Resolution, frame rate, HDR, rear-camera options, and thermal limits vary by model and conditions.

MultiCapture is in private beta. Keep a normal camera backup for critical work until the app and your device have been proven together.
Does MultiCapture upload my videos?
No. The current app has no account, cloud upload, advertising, or analytics service. It writes into its Files container and can add requested videos to Photos with your permission.
Do I always get three videos?
The app first records rear and front source videos, then attempts to build the switched edit. The switched video is secondary to protecting usable source footage, so interruptions or export failures can leave only the available sources.
Can I keep both original angles?
Yes. Turn on Save source videos before the session. On a successful Photos export, the rear, front, and switched videos are added to Photos, and the two source videos remain in Files.
Will it work on my iPhone?
It requires iOS 18+ and Apple multi-camera support. Exact capture formats and rear-camera controls differ by device. During the private beta, contact support with your model before relying on it for a critical shoot.
What happens if I leave the app while recording?
iOS does not allow this camera session to keep recording normally in the background. MultiCapture stops and finalizes the raw captures, then defers the optional switched edit if necessary.
